So as most of you know I will be heading to Sierra Leone in September for 6 months. I am hoping this blog will make it easier for those of you who would like to know what I am up to. Being that the electricity in Salone only works sporadically I am not sure how often I will be able to update this, but I am hoping to rope my mom and sister Amy into maintaining it for me when I cannot. Thank you for taking the time to see what I've been doing.

As one of the "Ropees" I can tell you it is wonderful to watch how God is working in our daughter!! He has planted and nurtured in her such a passion for the people of Jonathan House and she can't wait to get back to them. She built a relationship with each of the 20 staff and 80 children at Jonathan House in her month there last year. Since Bo has no mail delivery system, every time someone goes from the States to Jonathan House Ceek writes 100+ letters (including all the children who have arrived since she was there!) to each person on the compound! She can't wait to get back to her friends! God put this desire in her heart and He will see it through to completion. Please pray for wisdom for Christie and the Board Members who make the decision as to when she should go. We do not knowingly want to send her into harms way - and yet God is her protector - not us!! Maybe part of her mission is to help Jonathan House through the aftermath and healing from these elections - who knows? Please pray that God's will will be evident to all involved in the decision making process and that Christie will have peace as she waits on Him.
Thanks Mom!
Love You!
